Core Responsibilities:
- Follow and promote Safety and Security policies in ports/terminals and ensure that fellow employees and visitors are doing the same.
- Carry out equipment maintenance, units’ disassembling, and parts’ inspection for wear for STS, RTG, RMG, Mobile Harbor Cranes, Terminal Tractors, Forklifts, Trailers and other port and facilities related equipment.
- Support to install, request and manufacture tools, machines, engines, and other products or devices in the ports/terminals.
- Handle the equipment testing and recording of results to the manager in charge.
- Ensure maximum operational availability of equipment and ensure repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner with consideration given to quality of work and longevity of equipment.
- Report emergency work and workmanship issues to the manager in charge.
- Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of workshop facilities and all equipment he/she is responsible for.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Secondary School or above.
- Additional training in mechanical fields in any Port or heavy equipment industry is highly required.
- Ability to communicate in English (Speaking/Reading).
- Arabic is preferred and any additional languages would be deemed an advantage.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven hands on experience for mechanical trouble shooting, basic fault analysis
- Experience with transmissions, gearboxes, wire rope systems, engines.
- Welding skills
