Key Responsibilities:

• Medication Preparation and Dispensing:
  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions.
  • Compound medications, including elixirs and ointments, using standardized recipes.
  • Prepare sterile medications, including those used in chemotherapy.
• Inventory Management:
  • Maintain adequate drug supplies by assessing PAR levels and reorder points.
  • Work with drug wholesalers and pharmaceutical companies to procure medications.
  • Address drug and supply shortages.
• Patient Interaction:
  • Obtain and verify patient medication histories.
  • Assist in medication reconciliation processes.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the management of investigational drug studies.
• Technology and Automation:
  • Operate pharmacy automation systems for medication dispensing.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication orders using technology.

Required:

* Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program of NLT 2 years duration resulting in being awarded a diploma in Pharmacy.
