Requirements:

• Relevant experience ideally within the oil & gas, shipping, or maritime industries
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related field
• Background in oil & gas, shipping, or maritime industries is highly desirable
• Strong computer skills, particularly in data entry and accounting software

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Key responsibilities:

• Accurate data entry for products and purchases
• Inputting and managing product codes
• Maintaining and updating financial records
• Reconciling accounts and preparing reports
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements
• Collaborating with the Head of Products to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Conducting periodic audits to ensure compliance
• Handling accounts payable and receivable
• Managing invoices and expense reports
• Supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.
• Record and reconcile all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Ensure that all transactions are documented and classified correctly.
• Prepare and issue invoices to customers and clients. Track and manage receivables, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
• Review and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor and reconcile company credit card transactions.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and that any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Prepare and generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, tax laws, and internal policies. Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory reports.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date for audit purposes.
• Maintain and update financial databases and accounting software. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and correspondence. Assist with other financial and administrative tasks as needed.
